Bio

There was never a time in my life when making art wasn’t important. I have had many jobs in the art field including being a graphic artist for Clark College and the Fort Vancouver Library system in the 1980s. Editioning etchings for Portland artists in the 1990s, picture framing all along, teaching art to children through Vancouver Parks and Rec and through a children’s program at Clark College.

I graduated with a BFA from Marylhurst College in 1986. And have shown my paintings and hand pulled prints ever since. I was long time represented by Altman gallery in Vancouver, WA and Caplan Art Designs and the Art Museum rental sales in Portland, OR. And have participated in Clark County Open Studios four times.

Between family and other responsibilities there has never been enough time for making art. Including now when retired from other income sources. Making has been a life long passion. Aside from painting and printmaking, I have fascination with all mediums/ crafts, including sewing, ceramics and construction work.

My studio is rarely this neat!
